      Hello everyone!

What a wonderful chapter! We all know about supplication, thanksgiving, and praise in prayer, but what a freeing concept it is to know that prayer is a heart posture and that just being in conversation – or just being in God’s presence without even saying a word – is such a powerful means of prayer. It can be difficult for those of us who are not as gifted in praying as others to hear their wonderful prayers and wish we could pray like that. But God loves our time with Him as we just tell Him about what we are feeling or going through as much as He loves those epic prayers of our gifted brothers and sisters. We can all pray in a way pleasing to God! We just need to take time – often – to be with Him.

What are your thoughts on the chapter?

I so enjoyed the story of Hallesby’s little boy who poked his head into his father’s office saying that he will sit very still and not make a sound, but that he wanted to just be with his father. The little boy knew the rules, ‘He was not to interrupt his father as he was working in his home office.’ However, the little boy pleadingly wanted to be near his daddy. I cherish that mind picture because that’s how I like to be in my Abba Father’s presence . . . I like to sit quietly and ‘just be’ in His presence. Please, Abba, if I just sit without fidgeting and without talking, may I sit in Your presence. Amen and Amen.
