The 16 year-old son of our Turkish friends Yüksel and Dijle, Sammy, was severely beaten up last Saturday by four young men in Izmir, Turkey. It was a nasty attack, apparently not related to religious reasons (the family are long-time evangelists and disciplers), just random evil violence. They are asking for prayer for the surgery to knit together the bones above Sammy's eye and skull, which will happen this Friday (tomorrow) at 10am Istanbul time (3am here). They are recognizing it as a spiritual attack because of a successful youth camp that they've run this week. Please also pray against the anger Sammy has been experiencing since the attack - he's a budding evangelist himself, working alone and alongside his parents.
