Another great chapter from Hallesby! I must admit that the struggle in prayer did sometimes seem like I was trying to compel God to give me what I wanted. I like that he shows me that the struggle is with myself, wanting my will instead of God’s will.
I love the illustration of Lazarus and the gentile woman were Jesus seemed to speak, harshly or act, harshly towards them. When my prayers are not answered now, or at least not h the way I want them or when, it will remind me that maybe God has something better for me. Hopefully this will Me to see him more.
