Hate God?! What quasi religious person would ever entertain such a gruesome observation of our basis self? But Sproul’s extracted this revelation from Augustine and sees it in action in us. Popeye would grown “blow me down”! Yes and I thank God for bold thinkers like Augustine, Edwards, Sproul and others for, like the Apostle Paul, observing “oh wretched man that I am, WHO (not what) can save me from this body of death?” Who? The very God who has every right to condemn us but according to His good pleasure and Grace sets us free by laying our punishment on His beloved Son. This is where my praises rise and flow. How can this be? Praise His Name- IT IS!
